Our humble beginning in 2014 created a major impact in the fishermen community and farmers of East Africa. We started with one natural wild caught fishery resource and growing continuously to add up more and more species to our product portfolio.
With a presence in over 5 countries and fishermen farmer community of more than 10,000 strong, we still work at the source – ground level. We work very closely with fishermen to improve their fishing activity by choosing the right fishing gear, maximizing their output of catching legal sizes of species, ensuring sustainability of the resource, processing done only under strict quality control processes with full trace-ability. We stand together with them through the entire process from training to harvesting and guarantee their purchase at a higher price.
At our core of activities is the sustainability. We also have a big social responsibility that is important for us to see the ripple effect our success has over the community. Working closely with fishermen and farmers also helped us influence their thought process to add value to their existing process by making positive impact to the environment, give better value to their products, see farming and fishing as a sustainable and viable livelihood especially for their future generations. We continuously strive to work closely with fishermen, farmers and intermediate processors to re think how they are financially rewarded better to make their fishing and farming activities attractive, viable and regenerate water and soil natural resources to create conditions where the industrial activity, stakeholders and global commerce co-exist with nature.
